Yung Pinch: The New Beach Boy

@YungPinch @YungPinch “A lot of people want to live the beach boy lifestyle…” Yung Pinch is 19 years old and done with high school. He’s a Huntington Beach native with a long wavy mane of hair that swims far past his shoulders like a cloak. He talks quietly, slow, and smooth, with the same laid back SoCal drawl you hear on his mixtapes when he sings and/or raps. He is a skilled lyricist with introspective tracks (check out “Look Like”), but it’s that paired with his voice that makes Pinch something unique. His flow is calm and relaxed, and he bends notes like butter particularly at the ends of bars like a trained singer. But it’s rougher. And it works....

Last week we welcomed Pittsburgh rapper, Hardo, to the store for the mixtape release party of Trapnatti 2. It was just over a year ago that he released his first Trapnatti mixtape. Despite being in and out of jail, Hardo has managed to maintain a buzz locally and nationally. His music is raw and blatantly from the streets, but what sets him apart is the true emotion, soul and intelligence that shines through in each track. The weather could not have been better for this party. We also released a limited edition run of Daily Bread x Hardo tees which are available in limited quantity exclusively in store.

Chevy Woods In Store Performance

Taylor Gang & Chevy Woods stopped through the store for May's First Friday party. We modified our office to create a stage with some crazy lighting and packed the place out for a very special and intimate show.

Mac Miller In Store & GO:OD AM Release Party

Mac Miller came to Pittsburgh this weekend for an incredible hometown rollout of his new album, "Good AM." This is Mac's 3rd studio album and first after being signed to a major label. The hometown vibe was absolutely in the air all week throughout events like a softball tournament and bowling alley party. Mac also threw out the first pitch at PNC park for the Pirates, and waved the Terrible Towel at the Steelers game on Sunday.  TheDaily Bread store underwent some hardcore modifications in the middle of the night for a Most Dope clothing pop up shop and GO:OD AM album signing. The line wrapped around the block, and Mac spent the afternoon taking pictures with fans and running around the store....
